Dustin Sims

Dustin (Dusty) is the State Executive Director for the Florida Department of Education Bureau of School Improvement. Dusty is an experienced educational leader with over 15 years of success improving schools at the school, district, and state levels. He has a proven record of driving measurable gains in student achievement and leadership capacity. Since 2018, his work in Florida has contributed to significant statewide improvement, with more than 70% of identified schools showing performance gains and a notable decline in “D” and “F” rated schools.
