Christina Jones | 2Rev Coach

Christina is an avid learner, passionate educator, district leader, and curriculum developer with over 20 years of experience teaching and leading students and adults. Christina holds a B.A. in Music Education from Xavier University of Louisiana, a M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction, Adult Education from Central Michigan University, and an Ed. S. in Instructional Technology & Instructional Design Systems from the University of Missouri, Columbia. 

Christina began her teaching career developing Orchestra and Choral programs at the Secondary level in Atlanta, GA. Later in her teaching career, Christina utilized her music skills to transition to the academic classroom, where she taught grades K - 3. Christina has served in numerous leadership roles, including Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development, District Content Coordinator, Instructional Curriculum Specialist, Instructional Coach, Parent Outreach Coordinator, Curriculum Developer, and Leadership Consultant. Christina has also designed and developed curricula, in both academic core and arts content. She has worked with various organizations in the K-12, Higher Education, and non-profit sectors to build curricula including Tulane University, Xavier University of Louisiana, Young Audiences, the US Department of Education, Project Angel Heart, and MySkin Global. 

In her previous role as Manager of Curriculum & Instruction for Arts and PE for Denver Public Schools, Christina led her team of Instructional Curriculum Specialists in the content areas of Visual Arts, Music, Dance, Theater, Physical Education, Adapted Physical Education, and Comprehensive Health to design high quality, culturally responsive and humanizing learning experiences to the district’s 90,000 students. Christina has led initiatives at the school and district level, including Performance-Based Assessments, Student-Centered Learning, Culturally Responsive Education, Humanizing Pedagogies, and Formative Assessment Practices that support teaching and learning.  Christina has also consulted with school leaders and teachers on school-based initiatives including, Arts programming, Arts Integration, Adapted Arts & PE Programming for Students with Disabilities, Project- Based Learning, and Personalized Learning.    

Christina’s mission is to impact the lives of students and adults through designing and developing learning experiences that are authentic, learner-centered, and humanizing. She believes in building the capacity of individuals and teams through empowerment and transformational coaching. Her areas of expertise include Performance-Based Assessments, Student-Centered Learning, Personalized Learning, Culturally Responsive Education, Humanizing Pedagogies, and Formative Assessment Practices.  

In her free time, Christina enjoys expressing her creativity through music, writing, and art. She enjoys gardening, learning Korean, and hiking with her daughter, Aden and Yorkie, PeeWee.
