Bárbara Escudero | 2Rev Coach

Bárbara Escudero is an educator, writer, coach, and consultant with over twenty years of experience in the fields of education and leadership development. She is also a proud Brooklyn-born, Bronx-raised, first-generation Latina whose life and work is committed to contributing to a world where historically and systemically marginalized Black, Indigenous, Latinx/e, People of Color are fully experiencing and living in our infinite power and potential.

Bárbara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Latino Studies from Cornell University, a Master of Art’s degree in Bilingual, Bicultural Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Professional Coaching Certification (PCC) from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. A member of and proudly accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), she specializes in Energy Leadership and Liberatory Coaching.
Bárbara had the honor and privilege of serving as a classroom teacher for thirteen years working primarily with Linguistically Diverse students across a variety of programmatic models and grade-levels. She coached and supported both in-service and pre-service teachers as an Adjunct Instructor at Long Island University’s Language Education program and as a Student-Teacher Supervisor at Teachers’ College Elementary Inclusive and Bilingual/Bicultural Education programs. Most recently, Bárbara led the national work on Culturally Relevant Pedagogy and Supporting Linguistically Diverse Student at Teach for America for seven years where her work impacted over 3,000 teachers and 75,000+ students annually across 52 regions nationwide. Bárbara now serves as a global Education Consultant and Coach where her work centers on the individual and collective empowerment, liberation, and healing of communities of color. Her work focuses primarily on supporting teachers, instructional coaches, school administrators, and organizations who are committed to anchoring their practice in liberatory, healing-centered education through transformative, holistic coaching and pedagogical training.

Bárbara deeply believes that impactful and lasting transformational change comes first from within and that it is through what we do pedagogically that we can change the world. Bárbara leverages her passion and skills as an educator, learning-experience designer, facilitator, and professional coach to support individuals and organizations committed to their personal, pedagogical, and organizational transformation.   

In her free time Bárbara enjoys writing, reading, learning, traveling the world, dancing salsa and spending quality time with her two beautiful nieces, friends and familia.
