What would it look like if we transformed the traditional stand and deliver model into something much more flexible, engaging, and effective? This summer, we invite you to design and implement an innovative professional learning session and submit for the chance to be awarded a prize of up to $5,000.

Announcing a new challenge for schools, districts, and organizations!

Step 1: Explore Learn Next

Review the free and open Learn Next resources to determine which content (i.e. which courses, learning progressions, or playlists) best meet the needs of educators in your school or district.

Step 2: Identify an Innovative Process

Select an innovative process (such as short cycle prototyping, hands-on learning, or blended learning) to unlock an educator mindset (such as growth mindset, equity mindset, or collaboration) that will lead to a deeper learning of the Learn Next content.

Step 3: Submit the Online Form

Design a PD session and submit it using this form for a chance to be awarded a prize of up to $5,000. Special consideration is given to applicants who implement their session before submitting their application and provide evidence of educator learning with their submission; however, we understand that not might be possible within the rhythms of the summer calendar, so applications in the planning stage will also be considered. If you have any questions, please review the FAQs at the bottom of the page.

Applications will be accepted and reviewed at two times during summer 2019:

If you’re able, we’d recommend submitting your application for the earliest cycle you can. That’s because if you aren’t selected for an award that cycle, we’ll automatically reconsider you for the next month. However, keep in mind you can only submit once and cannot update your application once submitted, and if you are more likely to have stronger evidence of educator learning later in the summer, that could improve your chances of receiving an award.

Step 4: Share Via Social Media

Share your idea publicly on social media (i.e., Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) by tagging 2Revolutions and posting the headline for your professional learning experience. If you share via Twitter, be sure to use #PDSummerChallenge. Your idea might inspire someone else!
