Founded in 2008, 2Revolutions (“2Rev”) is a national education design lab that designs, launches and supports Future of Learning models and systems. We work with school, district/community and state partners to help build readiness and capacity to transform toward their Future of Learning – by working simultaneously at three levels:
BUILDING SCHOOLS: we work with groups of educators to: 1) deliver introductory “Learn” and “Design” sessions; 2) facilitate topical learning or short-cycle prototyping networks to tackle specific problems or opportunities; 3) lead whole school (re)design processes; and 4) provide personalized coaching and implementation supports to school design teams;
BUILDING SYSTEMS: we help state and district partners: 1) build/refine their vision and integrative strategy; 2) develop personalized professional learning systems; 3) track and manage progress; and 4) tell compelling stories to build and maintain community buy-in; and
BUILDING THE FIELD: we partner on national initiatives that scale innovation, share learning/tools, and build readiness and capacity to move toward the Future of Learning models and systems our kids and families need.
Simply put, we work with the grown-ups across our education system(s) to encourage them to think differently about the purpose and structure of education – i.e., beginning with what students need to know and be able to do to be successful in the future, then supporting them in a process to design, test and refine new approaches that are more likely to produce those outcomes. 2Rev has successfully led 400+ unique design engagements with partners across 35 states.
2Revolutions is committed to cultivating educational equity for all students and fostering an internal culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our team does not yet reflect the level of diversity we hold as a core value, and we are taking proactive steps to ensure our staff better reflects the students we seek to serve.
