Erica Pappalardo | Senior Consultant
Erica is a passionate educational leader in the field of competency-based instruction and assessment. As a Senior Consultant at 2Rev, Erica designs and facilitates personalized learning experiences and content to help educators make a transformation towards the Future of Learning. Erica worked for 13 years as a classroom teacher, before moving into a leadership role in Rochester, New Hampshire, with a focus on supporting its transformation towards competency-based education. Throughout her tenure at Rochester, Erica served a variety of roles, all in support of the district’s transitional work. As Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Coach, she worked to create engaging professional development sessions to equip teachers with the understanding of the shifts in grading, instruction, and assessment that the model presents.
Erica has worked extensively on the development of performance assessment, having collaborated with the Center for Collaborative Education. She has also worked closely with the New Hampshire Department of Education and The National Center for the Improvement of Educational Assessment, Inc. as math content lead to New Hampshire's PACE project, overseeing the development of operational performance assessments. Erica has presented her work to the Alliance for Excellent Education in Washington D.C., NHPR, and with other national organizations, including CompetencyWorks, WestEd, and the Innovation Lab Network.
