reDesign is an education design company with a social mission. Its team collaborates with clients on projects that push the envelope of vision and design, reimagining what teaching and learning can be, particularly for the most vulnerable and marginalized youth in our society. reDesign has particular expertise with Competency Based and Mastery Learning and has worked with districts, networks, and schools throughout the country to develop aligned learning systems. The reDesign team has also developed extensive open-source resources on Competency Based and Mastery Learning and are key thought leaders in the field.
2Revolutions (2Rev) is a national education design lab striving to transform the American education system. 2Rev works with entrepreneurial leaders and practitioners within K12 and Higher Education to design, build, and implement new learning models and help catalyze the enabling systems that prepare students for success in the future. In its work with educators, 2Rev provides in-person, blended, and online learning experiences on a range of Future of Learning topics, including Competency Based Learning.

The 60/40 Rule: Designing Competency Based Curriculum: Have you ever wondered: What makes Competency Based curriculum so different from traditional curriculum? This course introduces you to a Competency Based Learning curriculum design methodology, which you will practice by designing a unit of study that purposefully develops and nurtures learner agency, inquiry, and competency.
